Job Summary

As the Labor Relations Representative Intermediate with Academic Human Resources, you will support and facilitate union-management contract negotiations, administer collective bargaining agreements, and resolve employee grievances to promote harmonious labor relations at the University. Reporting to the Associate Vice Provost for Academic and Faculty Affairs, you will advise management on labor relations practices, interpret labor agreements, and support employee-related matters to ensure compliance with legal and contractual obligations. You will provide expertise to address labor and employment issues institution-wide.

Work Locations

Will require travel to multiple locations on & off campus, which may include Flint and Dearborn campuses.  Will occasionally require domestic travel.  Hybrid work may be allowed; flexible work arrangements are reviewed annually and may be subject to change based on business needs.

Modes of Work

Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment. Learn more about the work modes.
