Essential Job Duties

The Department of Business Management at NC State University invites applications for the position of Non-Tenure Track Faculty Lecturer (part-time) in the Information Technology and Analytics area. These positions are offered for one semester or one year, with the possibility of renewal. Applications will be retained for one year for consideration in future semesters.

Successful candidates will teach one or more Information Technology and/or Analytics courses within the BSBA and/or MBA programs. Teaching locations include the main campus in Raleigh, online, and potentially summer school and study abroad programs.

Specific course needs for the academic year are yet to be finalized. Potential IT courses include information systems management, database management, systems development, networking, and systems analysis and design. Analytics courses may include business analytics and data engineering.

Contributing member of the department, College, and University.

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Requires a master’s degree or an equivalent degree in IT, analytics, statistics, or a master’s degree (or an equivalent degree) with a concentration in IT.

  • Excellent teaching ability.
  • A commitment to the success of our students and programs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree or equivalent in the appropriate field.
  • Experience teaching at the college level.
