Position Objective
Provide technical support to enable faculty and staff to utilize technology as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible. Serve as the technical resource to all departmental divisions acting as a resource and liaison between Information Technology (IT) and the customer. Oversee and manage intranet pages, online forms systems, and assist with current and new employee technical trainings.

Duties and Tasks (Essential Functions)
Duty: Coordinate and streamline IT user Services
Tasks include:
- Plan and coordinate transition of CPTC’s printed forms to an appropriate online form system that meets required compliance standards.
- Act as a liaison with other departments to implement and change procedures; maintain documentation of these procedures.
- Responsible for Sharepoint Intranet content modifications, additions, deletions, and implementing approved functional enhancements. Proactively monitor all content for accuracy, including proofreading, and serve as final approver for Intranet page content.
- Train campus partners to be additional Sharepoint intranet content providers and serve as a resource to them.
- Be the point of contact for 25Live calendar and room reservation services A
- Assist with the design implementation of a CPTC contract tracking database
- Coordinate meetings, take meeting minutes, prepare and organize documents for meetings as determined by the Supervisor.
- Organize, arrange, and coordinate travel and professional development documentation and approval processes
- Manage department’s college-issued credit card (P-card), including tracking, monitoring, documentation, and monthly reconciliation • Prepare and manage purchase requests and invoice payments in coordination with finance and warehouse staff as needed
- Liaise with vendors as needed, including gathering required documentation and troubleshooting billing issues
- Reconcile and analyze budget information, including tracking, monthly reconciliation, internal budget revisions, projecting future expenses in partnership with the Executive Director of I.T.
- Provide Organizational Change Management (OCM) functions and work closely with the Executive Director of .I.T. to promote continuous improvement and business process analysis within Finance, Human Resources and other divisions.
- Adapt and learn emerging technologies and how best to leverage them within the CPTC environment.
- Stay current with all system enhancements and changes
Duty: IT operations • Identify and offer potential solutions for recurring issues
Tasks Include:
- Prepare reports and metrics on the help-desk and team project activities
- Assist with purchase requisitions for technology department equipment purchases.
- Assist with generating purchase quotes from a variety of vendors • Follow up on any outstanding purchase requisitions or payments
- Manage user accounts across multiple applications
Duty: Customer Service
Tasks include:
- Investigate, research and resolve escalated customer service inquiries.
- Provide appropriate training and create supporting documentation which will extend CPTC’s online support knowledgebase.
- Complete helpdesk tickets within the SLA assigned to the request
- Support an environment that exhibits and promotes the values of service, teamwork, accountability, respect and safety.
- Participate on I.T. related CPTC committees
Duty: Asset tracking
Tasks include:
- Assist with tracking of I.T. equipment databases from delivery to retirement and surplus.
- Oversee and maintain appropriate inventory of computer-related equipment and technical supplies.
- Ensure that CPTC utilizes appropriately licensed software. The Technical Support team will maintain files for software licenses, equipment warranties.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associates Degree
- Two years of hands-on experience with computer user accounts and software (Windows OS, SoftDocs, Ticketing system, MS Office, etc.).
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with all levels of staff. Must be customer service oriented and have a genuine desire to help users.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision; be highly organized and able to prioritize responsibilities effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in business or administration, OR equivalent combination of experience and education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved
