Job Description
Candidates with expertise in any of the following areas of Applied Psychology: Industrial Organizational Psychology, Human Factors Psychology, or Counselling/Clinical Psychology. Candidates are expected to teach some of the following courses: Introduction to Psychology, Consumer Psychology, Human Factors Psychology, Assessment and Testing, I/O Psychology, Quantitative and Qualitative Methods, Ethics, etc.
Job Requirements
Candidates should have a PhD degree with extensive industry experience in I/O, HF, or Counselling/Clinical Psychology. Successful candidates are required to demonstrate an ability to undertake independent research leading to impactful outcomes, such as publication in high-quality, internationally recognized, indexed journals and other types of scholarly work as appropriate & recognized by their disciplines. Meanwhile, they are also expected to have a commitment to teaching excellence at undergraduate or postgraduate levels. Preference will be given to candidates having a consistent academic background in Psychology, from undergraduate through to doctoral studies. Academic rank will be determined in accordance with successful candidate’s experience and research accomplishments.
Benefits and Appointment Terms
Commencing salaries will be commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience. Fringe benefits include housing allowance, leave and social insurance. Appointment to this position will initially be made on a fixed-term contract with mutual agreement.
