M1 is looking for an Aircraft Mechanic II (Ordnance) who will perform comprehensive maintenance on military aircraft specializing in systems such as structures, landing gear, engines, avionics, rotor systems, hydraulic systems, and armament. This role may require working with foreign personnel and adapting to different cultures and languages. A critical aspect of the position involves handling maintenance inspections, repairs, and ensuring aircraft readiness for flight operations. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: * Perform repairs on aircraft systems, including structures, engines, rotor systems, avionics, hydraulic units, flight surfaces, and more. * Use various tools and equipment such as shears, welding equipment, rivet guns, to work on aircraft components. * Rewire, reassemble, and repair avionics systems, cockpit avionics, and aircraft fuselage, ensuring proper corrosion and paint treatments. * Read and interpret manufacturers and maintenance manuals, OPNAV 4790, service bulletins, engineering data, and other specifications. * Follow local GOP, LOI, PQS, and safety orders for effective repair and replacement of aircraft components. * Perform various inspections (175-hour, phase, periodic etc.) to detect cracks, leaks, corrosion, or and foreign object damage. * Repair or replace damaged components such as generators, fuel pumps, and oil pumps. * Oversee engine operation testing and complete engine removal, disassembly, inspection and reinstallation. * Conduct preflight, thru-flight, and post-flight inspections. * Service aircraft (cleaning filters, greasing moving parts, flushing gearboxes, checking brakes). * Participate in jacking and towing of aircraft ensuring all work is completed safely and according to regulations. * Record maintenance performed and verify satisfactory completion of work. * Specialize in one or more areas (e.g., engines, airframes, electrical, or armament) and perform necessary modifications to aircraft systems. * Manage and assign work to other mechanics, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard. * Approve time cards for mechanics and ensure efficient completion of workload. * Ensure safety procedures are followed for all maintenance tasks. * Manage Technical Directive and Support Equipment (SE) programs, ensuring compliance and timely procurement of required parts. * Participate in FOD (Foreign Object Damage) programs, safety programs, and HAZMAT handling and disposal. * Ensure all equipment licenses are obtained and maintained. Qualifications and Experience: * High school diploma or equivalent. * Must be proficient in reading, writing, and understanding English. * Minimum of five (5) years of actual and recent O-level H-60S/R/F/H series aircraft maintenance experience (or equivalent rotary aircraft experience). * Minimum of five (5) years of experience as CDI/CDQAR (Collateral Duty Inspector/Quality Assurance Representative) for H-60 aircraft. * Experience with MH60-R aircraft preferred. * Two (2) years management-level experience. * Ordnance certification shall be required to obtain. * Must be able to obtain and maintain qualifications as outlined in CNAFINST 4790.2 and local work instructions. * Ability to read and interpret technical data, manuals, and special operating instructions. * Must be able to obtain and maintain CDI or QAR qualifications. * Must be able to obtain and maintain ordnance certification. * Must be proficient with technical data, using computer programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, NALCOMIS/OOMA). * Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government Common Access Card (CAC) and pass a pre- employment drug screen. * Required to obtain and maintain a favorably adjudicated Tier-3 background check. Some roles may require a secret clearance. * Must have a valid state driver's license. * Must be able to work all shifts. Full time employment: however, 40-hours is not guaranteed per- week. Working hours; must be able to be flexible, start time and end time will be dependent on flight schedule and or overall tasking. * Must be able to work with foreign personnel and cultures is necessary. Working Conditions: * Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. and perform tasks that require standing, sitting, and manual dexterity for extended periods. * Work involves physical maintenance tasks, occasional lifting, and the use of tools and equipment. * Requires strong attention to detail, mental alertness, and the ability to work under deadlines. * Must be able to handle stress and changing work conditions effectively. * Will be working in both indoor and outdoor settings, including hangars and flight lines, and may work with hazardous materials. * Must be able to use a computer for data entry and maintain constant mental alertness. * Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
