Job Description: The Program Manager in the Office of Student Affairs will play an essential role in the execution of the Division’s strategic priorities by leading and coordinating a wide range of central processes, programs, special projects, and strategic partnerships. Reporting to the Advisor to the Vice President and working closely with the Vice President for Student Affairs and other members of the Office, the Program Manager will also coordinate dimensions of the Office’s external relations and engagement efforts, will support Division leadership activities related to University Relations, and will provide staff support to numerous key Divisional committees and initiatives.
Strategic Initiatives and Special Projects
● In collaboration with Division leaders and other members of the Office of the Vice President, lead projects related to the Division’s strategic plan, including but not limited to:
- Playing an integral role in annual strategic planning processes.
- Coordinating the annual report process and other projects that demonstrate the impact of the strategic plan.
● Undertake short-term projects that advance major needs or priorities of the Division, such as benchmarking or other special projects.
● In partnership with the Advisor and the Director of Communications, facilitate the annual report process and assist with other writing projects on behalf of the Office of the Vice President.
University Relations and Strategic Partnerships and Engagement

● Work with the Officer Assistant and Advisor to support the Vice President’s speaking engagements and meetings with key constituents, ensuring the Vice President’s time is used efficiently and strategically by gathering necessary background and information, drafting talking points and other presentation materials, and otherwise helping to prepare the Vice President as needed.
● Coordinate key advancement projects, such as development proposals, benefactor acknowledgment and stewardship processes, and supporting the Undergraduate Experience Advisory Council.
● Draft correspondence and complete other writing projects for the Office of the Vice President, including sensitive responses to internal and external constituents.
● Coordinate key formal and informal student engagement initiatives on behalf of the Vice President, including office hours, fireside chats, etc.
● Support the Vice President and other University and Division leaders in outreach to parents and families, including working with Division leadership around outreach and engagement strategies.
Division Processes and Events
● Play an integral role in the planning, execution, and leadership of major events of the Office of the Vice President, such as town halls, summits, and beginning and end-of-year gatherings.
● Coordinate the annual Student Awards processes, including the Vice President’s leadership awards recognizing graduating students, and financial aid awards for rising juniors.
● Work with the Director of Communications to prepare, review, and edit weekly student and staff newsletters, as well as other writing projects of strategic importance to the Vice President and Division (such as planning and preparing content for the Division’s annual report).
● Undertake other tasks and duties delegated by the Advisor to the Vice President for Student Affairs.

Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree (5 years) or advanced certification beyond Bachelor’s
- Commitment to the University’s Catholic identity, mission, and values
- 3-5 years of experience in a higher education setting, Student Affairs, strategic planning, or a related area
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and implement processes, procedures, and programs; ability to pivot and manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and to prioritize in order to meet deadlines
- Attention to detail; high degree of analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to take required initiative to solve problems; high sense of accountability and ownership of work product
- Ability to collaborate and work with a wide variety of diverse populations
- High level of professionalism and ability to represent Division leadership to internal and external constituencies
- Excellent judgment and discretion; ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion, integrity, and respect
