Position Summary 
Reporting to the Evening Manager for Custodial Services, this position serves as 
a lead maintenance worker in the cleaning services area and assists 
management in ensuring that custodial staff provides the highest level of 
customer service throughout the University complex. 
 
This position requires work hours on Saturday & Sunday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, 
and Monday through Wednesday, 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm. 
 
Essential Functions 
Leads and directs others per supervisor’s direction. 
Ensures the proper completion of all project work in a timely and efficient 
manner. 
Maintains inventory of machinery (including serial numbers) in each 
building. 
Maintains written log of all supplies issued to workers. 
Assists in the training of employees. 
Assists custodial supervisors in coordinating special or periodic work and 
ensures that all necessary materials and equipment/supplies are available 
before the start of any major project. 
Covers for absent workers and may, upon the request of the custodial 
supervisor, assists in the redistributing of the available workforce. 
Reports all irregularities to custodial supervisors. 
Returns all machinery to the stock room at the end of each shift. 
Prepares reports of damaged or inoperative building equipment, including 
but not limited to windows, lighting, furniture, plumbing systems, any 
vandalism, etc. 
Responsibilities also include all types of floor and carpet work. 
Must carry a cellular phone to be available during work shift and in case of 
emergencies at other times. 
Other duties as required.

Management Responsibilities 
Guides work of other employees who perform essentially the same work and/or 
student workers. Organizes, sets priorities, schedules and reviews work, but is 
generally not responsible for final decisions in hiring, performance management 
or compensation. 
 
Required Qualifications: Education and Experience 
High school diploma or equivalent. 
Minimum of 2 years of cleaning experience and demonstrated ability to 
guide the work of other employees. 
Valid Driver’s License. 
 
Required Qualifications: Knowledge and Skills 
Must be knowledgeable in all aspects of methods and materials of 
cleaning. 
Must be able to operate cleaning equipment safely and instruct others on 
operating all equipment used within the department. 
Demonstrated skills in leadership and organization. 
Must be able to read and write in English and follow written instructions. 
Knowledge of effective and safe usage of all floor machines and hand-held 
tools. 
Must have knowledge of general cleaning techniques and preventative 
maintenance, including standard use of power washers, standup vacuums 
& backpack vacuums. 
Successful candidates should have a knowledge of and commitment to 
the goals of Jesuit Education. 
 
Minimum Biweekly Salary for Internal Applicants with 3 or more years of service: 
$2,792.00 
 
Maximum Biweekly Salary for Internal Applicants with 3 or more years of service: 
$2,792.00 
 
Minimum Biweekly Salary for New Employees: $2,233.60 
 
Maximum Biweekly Salary for New Employees: $2,233.60
