The UAS Ketchikan Campus seeks a full time Student Services Manager for a fun leadership position. Responsibilities include academic advising for college students from admission to graduation, hosting student orientations, and recruiting and advising student government; speaking to high school students about college, administering scholarships, and occasional travel for student outreach and committee participation. Meets weekly with the Campus Director as part of the Instructional Leadership Team, supervises staff in the Registration Office and the Testing Center, and maintains visibility to increase on campus student activities. Serves as the Title IX Liaison for the Ketchikan Campus.

The successful candidate will have the ability to learn and teach students about educational technology tools; and ability to manage a work team. Must be able to work with and motivate students from diverse backgrounds, especially Alaska Native, military/veterans, and students of varying ages and academic abilities; and students from a wide range of gender identities, neurodiverse individuals, and with both online and face-to-face learners on campus. Must be able to work regular business hours from within a physical office location in the Student Center, while occasionally working from off-campus to host community information booths, meet students at the high schools, and/or on university travel.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and two years of relevant experience, excellent in-person and online communication skills, and ability to learn electronic tools for student data/information.

Position Details:

This is a full-time, 12-month, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage.

New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 79, based on education and experience. Starting salary is $27.06 or higher, depending on experience.

The report also contains information about crime statistics for the three most recent calendar years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus; in On-Campus Student Housing Facilities; in Noncampus buildings or property owned or controlled by the University or a recognized student organization; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from, the campus.  The report also contains fire statistics for any fires occurring in an On-Campus Student Housing Facility during the three most recent calendar years.
